    Thumbs up Invisible Touch Detailing

    Hi all,

Firstly, many thanks for everyone who voted for me and made it possible to bring the fantastic world of detailing and professional vehicle care to be more accessible, to members of the MKIV Supra Owners Club

I have always strived for excellence with anything I do and my goal is to provide the best detailing service possible. My passion lies in the automotive industry, or in fact anything with an engine. I started Invisible Touch Detailing from a personal dream of mine, to allow owners to receive treatments on their cars, boats or even horse trucks that produce beautification, protection and overall, maximise the satisfaction of ownership.

Every car I have ever worked on is treated like my own and I am proud to offer an unrivalled professional service with exquisite attention to detail in all areas within your experience of Invisible Touch Detailing.

I offer a range of treatments from maintenance details, protection details, full exterior machine polishing to remove swirls, scratches, holograms, machine buffer marks and revitalise faded paint. Interior details with cloth and leather interiors, engine bay details to polish metalwork and fully protect and nourish all rubbers and plastics with UV conditioners. I also offer extras such as hub and calliper repainting services. Any treatment can be tailored to your requirements, be it your daily driver, track car, or full on show car preparation.

Every paint correction treatment will receive an Invisible Touch Detailing service book. This will contain a record of each treatment carried out by myself and is fantastic as proof of work carried out to a future new owner or simply to keep with your existing records.

Treatments are made available to you either as a mobile service or at my studio in Rusper, Horsham, near Crawley. Also offered locally to London, Surrey, West Sussex, the South East, the UK and Internationally.

Was nice meeting you at SRR rolling day Chris! I hope to use you in the future and have talked about you to some friends who are in the car hire industry. They might need someone like you to work your magic on the more exotic collection.

    Hi,

As always at this time of year our cars are being affected heavily by the weather and general road conditions. Salt and grit will be corroding alloys as well as creating havoc with contaminating paintwork.

Invisible Touch Detailing is now running an offer on the Protection Detail until the 28th of February (bookings will need to be made and completed by this date)

Yes, cars do get very dirty at this time of year and no one wants to be outside cleaning them. However it’s extremely important it is still done. A professionally waxed vehicle with a sealant correctly applied to the wheels will make life so much easier for future cleans, will stay cleaner longer due to the vehicle being clayed, with contamination far less able to stick and will give you peace of mind that your vehicle is protected.

    Protection Detail
This service is designed to ensure complete protection for a new vehicle and is also ideal to further protect a previously detailed vehicle from the harsh elements during winter/summer. Clayed paintwork will leave your vehicle silky soft to touch with all tar spots, bird droppings and environmental contamination removed. Creating an ideal base for a highly protective premium carnauba wax or premium paint sealant, that will provide a lasting protective barrier.

    • Pre-wash snow foam to loosen any dirt prior to washing, which would normally inflict scratches and paint defects
    • 2 bucket wash using 100% sheepskin mitts including all door/boot shuts
    • All parts of the wheels cleaned with ‘acid free’ cleansers
    • Wheels arches cleaned and protected
    • Paintwork is clayed to remove bonded environmental contaminants
    • 2 bucket wash again using 100% sheepskin mitts
    • Vehicle is hand dried with plush microfiber towels
    • Sealant applied to wheels to protect from brake dust
    • Premium carnauba wax or premium paint sealant applied to protect paintwork
    • Windows polished inside and out
    • Interior hoovered and dusted
    • Any interior/exterior metalwork polished
    • Any interior/exterior rubbers/plastics protected
    • Tyres dressed and protected

This service for a Supra is normally priced at 135. Up until 28th Feb I am offering 20% off the price so 108

In addition to the 20% off, I will also include a SECOND application of wax, COMPLETELY FREE! The second layer will provide far greater durability as well as making the overall finish deeper, darker and wetter looking. This is normally an additional charge of 30 on the Protection Detail

That’s a total saving of 57!! So please be quick to avoid missing out!

You can contact me on here via pm, or on my mobile and email details below.

    Regards,

    Christian

Subaru Impreza WR1 - Stage 1 Paint Correction & Engine Bay

    Hi,

This w'end i was asked to carry out a Stage 1 Paint Correction and Engine Bay treatment on this lovely WR1.

These were the photos of the vehicle on arrival. Lots of baked on brake dust and the paintwork in typical condition for this time of year.

    The engine bay on arrival.

I was asked by the client to remove the WRX, Impreza and STI badges from the boot lid and refit a chrome WR1 badge which he supplied.

I softened the badges with hot water and removed them using fishing line. Leaving this.

As the sun came out briefly, 1 last picture and currently reflection shot before the wash process.

The vehicle was jet washed down and then snow foamed to loosen any dirt before washing with a wash mitt, to avoid inflicting any further paint defects.

The tyres, arches, door and boot shuts were sprayed with Meguiars APC and left to dwell before being agitated with brushes.

The wheels were left to soak in Bilberry for 5 mins before being jet washed and then washed with a wash mitt and wheel brush in a hot, Shampoo Plus solution. Some areas of baked on brake dust were also clayed where required.

    Moving onto the engine bay.

I covered any major electrical parts with clingfilm. It was then washed with a hot Shampoo Plus solution, rinsed and then left to dwell for 5 mins in Meguiars APC.

It was then scrubbed using a toothbrush.

    And finally, rinsed off.

The vehicle was then washed using the 2 bucket method and Shampoo Plus.

It was then tucked away for the night.

Next morning, i had to stop and say good morning to the littl'un on the way past

The vehicle was dusted down using Meguiars Last Touch.

As the sun was out it was showing a few paint defects in the light.

Now onto the claying. The front wing.

The lower halfs of the doors, as expected, were terrible and shows just how important the claying procedure is when looking for an exquisite finish.

The side skirts also not great. Small chip in the clearcoat noted before machine polishing.

    The lights were also clayed.

It was then taken outside and washed again using the 2 bucket method.
